As a dual-citizen of both Azerbaijan and the United States, Morgan has been able to give back to local Azerbaijan organizations in the community where she trains. Some of the causes Morgan supports include:

Azerbaijan CenterAs a member of the Azerbaijan Center, Morgan hopes to make an impact on Azerbaijan youth living in Texas. The Azerbaijan Center has been involved in the promotion of mutual understanding, appreciation & cooperation between the citizens Texas and Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Center also holds community gatherings and facilitates opportunities for Azerbaijanis living in Texas to maintain a close connection with their home country, Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Center has been working in close relationship with various educational institution such as the University of Houston to facilitate the development of programs between Texans and Azerbaijani.  HBSCA is a member of Sister Cities of Houston and one of Houston’s 18 Sister Cities.

As a member of the Houston Baku Sister City Association (HBSCA), Morgan plans to contribute to its mission of the promotion of mutual understanding, appreciation & cooperation between the citizens of Houston, Texas and Baku, Azerbaijan. US President Dwight D. Eisenhower established Sister Cities International an effort to lessen the chance of future world conflicts.  The President proposed a people-to-people network between the United States and other nations that would involve people and organized groups at all levels of society.  US cities were encouraged to partner with cities in other countries and create citizen diplomacy networks to build global cooperation, promote cultural understanding and stimulate economic development.  These programs were to be based on two-way communication that would mutually benefit those partnering communities.

Save the ChildrenMorgan is a contributor to Save the Children causes in Azerbaijan. Save the Children has been active in Azerbaijan since December 1993. Save the Children has been directly implementing programs in partnership with international and national NGOs, businesses, communities and the Azerbaijani government to help families and communities care for the needs of children by reforming the child welfare system, promoting economic opportunities, encouraging family and community healthy lifestyles, improving basic social and physical infrastructure, and developing new educational materials and curricula.
